Anacostia River Reforestation Tour of Riparian Areas

Since 2017, the Anacostia Watershed Society has planted trees in areas along Dueling Creek and the Anacostia River that were heavily affected by the emerald ash borer beetle invasion. Join us as we visit the planting sites at Colmar Manor Community Park.  Rubber boots highly recommended!

Our exhibition highlights Maryland's beautiful but threatened wetland forests. The exhibition, which will feature Leslie’s photographs, Gabe’s writing and drone imagery taken by Yazan Hasan, will run from October 30, 2022 to January 8, 2023 at Joe's Movement Emporium in Mount Rainier, MD.
