The term “gap year” which was also known as deferred year or year off, pretty much means a period of time when students have a break from their formal education. Most students usually use such period of time to travel, study abroad, work or participate in any gap year programs of their choice.
Though it is named “gap year”, the duration of the break may vary among students themselves. Some may take up several weeks or semesters, and some even last up to a year or more. A gap year is usually taken by students after high school graduation, before college, during college or before a career.
The tradition of gap year originated from UK in the 90’s and since then, it was considered a righteous path for the students to take and was followed by tens of thousands more students in the UK. Gradually, it became surprisingly popular among the students of America and across the world.
A gap year is a really good time for fresh graduates to brush up their skills, take a short break and think carefully, rest their minds, plus revise all the knowledge they have gained from their previous studies. Recently, there have been a lot of local students who chose to study abroad in Argentina because the facilities and faculties there are great and learning Spanish Buenos Aires in Argentina could be very useful for their future since a lot of European countries tend to speak Spanish.
